Here at Patch Wood Farm, we are dedicated to breeding and importing the highest quality of Irish Jack Russell Terriers of true Irish descent. When our puppies leave, they are well-adjusted and ready for their new homes. Learn more in our frequently asked questions.
Our Jack Russells are first and foremost family members. They live in our home with children, cats, birds, and other dogs. They are wonderful off-leash and can frequently follow us around the farm or while riding the horses through the trails. They also love swimming, beach walks, agility, and frequent trips to the local pet store!
Our puppies are raised in the home and socialized with many children, adults, cats, horses, and other dogs. Whether we are resting on the couch or doing barn chores in the snow, our faithful Jacks are always with us.
Before leaving us, our puppies had their first shots, worming, and health certificates. We also offer a lifetime health and temperament guarantee on all our puppies. We strive to breed healthy and happy family companions and want you to be sure.
Before leaving, all puppies have started crate training and housebreaking. We send them all home with feeding, training, and housebreaking information and are here to assist you for the life of your Jack.
Our Irish Jack Russell puppies are priced depending on lineage confirmation, color, type, and more. Please contact us at (978) 273-0893 for pricing information. (Note: For your convenience, we now accept PayPal!) Shipping is available to CT, MA, NY, NJ, and NH for ~$300.
We’ve safely delivered puppies to homes across the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Yes! We have been shipping puppies for almost 20 years to approved homes throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Italy, just to name a few! Once we have decided that an Irish Jack Russell is right for you and the puppy has been purchased, Kathleen will work on the transport. We are now shipping with Pet Nannies.
For longer distances, we will find a date and time that works for you and then find a certified Pet Nanny to escort your new Irish Jack Russell from airport to airport. The puppies get an extra vet examination to ensure they are ready to fly. Then your new puppy will travel in the cabin with a USDA-registered Pet Nanny to help keep your Irish Jack happy and safe in flight. If the flight has a connection, they will often come out for a potty break or food and water.
For driving distance, we will drive them to Boston, Massachusetts, or Manchester, New Hampshire to meet their Pet Nanny and head home. The puppies will always be in a soft-sided travel crate. We always provide food and bowls to accompany the puppy on their journey.
You will want to arrive at the airport or meetup location a few minutes early to ensure you are ready for your puppy’s arrival. Be sure to have a license or state-issued ID to sign for your new puppy at the terminal. If you have any questions or concerns please let Kathleen know.
We accept deposits on planned litters and also on puppies that are not old enough to leave our home. The deposit fee is generally $400 and will be applied to the total purchase price of the puppy. Deposits are non refundable. In the event you have a deposit on an unborn litter and a puppy of your liking has not been produced, your deposit will held and you can pick from the next litter due. Once you have chosen a specific puppy the deposit becomes non refundable or transferrable.
Our Irish Jack Russell puppies vary in price but generally are $2,000 and up and our Black and Tans generally require a reservation to be placed prior to the litter being born. We occasionaly will have a pup with small cosmetic flaws that will be priced a bit less. Please keep in mind the initial purchase price of the puppy only reflects a small portion of the life long cost of dog ownership. We strive to breed healthy and happy puppies and guarantee their health for life.
No, our puppies are not spayed or neutered before leaving. We strongly recommend spaying or neutering around 6 months of age, which can reduce health risks and behavioral issues.
If you are an approved breeder, we do occasionally sell breeding-quality puppies with full rights. Please contact us to discuss.
We give all of our Irish Jacks their first Parvo/Distemper vaccine at seven weeks of age. They will need their second vaccination at 10-11 weeks of age and then their third and final set at 13-14 weeks. If we have the pup longer than 10 weeks we will give them their necessary vaccines to keep them on the correct vaccination schedule.
